SMC UK has confirmed its plans to resume its training course ‘Introduction to pneumatics and electro pneumatics, towards the end of August.

The company is now accepting bookings for its three-day, non-residential course, held at its UK facility in Milton Keynes.  The first session will run from 25-27 August, then monthly thereafter.

Nik Watson, learning and development manager at SMC says social distancing measures have been at the heart of the planning to allow these training sessions to resume. He said: “First and foremost, we want everyone involved to be able to take part safely. Working with our inhouse Covid-19 planning team these sessions will include social distancing at every stage, giving delegates the confidence to focus on the training with complete assurance of their health and safety.”

All sessions will be held in SMC’s dedicated training unit with facilities available which allow delegates to adhere to social distancing guidelines.  The number of delegates attending each session will be capped, allowing space for both the practical and theory-driven elements of the course.

Suitable for newcomers to compressed air use, the training is also suited for long-standing users who want to refresh their knowledge of new technologies and best practices.  The course modules include circuit design, pneumatic symbols and troubleshooting, with a certificate of completion provided at the end of the three days.

Watson continued: “We have already had several enquiries from customers asking when we are starting the training sessions again, so we are expecting the remaining sessions of the year to be popular.”
